The Catastrophe and the Aftermath - what is next

So finally at 10 p.m. tonight Eastern time, Pet Talk has been restored from the last back-up. Sadly, this means we have two years of missing posts, but I am still holding out a bit of hope, as there is some from The Parrot Forum who contacted a recovery company about seeing what they could scrape/recover from the Internet for us.

I will also check with the friend ho was going to try to convince the hosting company to ship us the "dead" drives, to see if anything can be salvaged from either one.

I am heartsick about the two years of missing posts, so sorry everyone.

Karen, the important thing is you are ok and Pet Talk is back and will go on. We will make new memories.

I was worried pet talk was gone forever. Thanks Karen, this is a good alternative.

Thanks, MoFF, I couldn't have put it better myself. I second the motion!

Thanks, Karen, for all your hard work bringing it back. Welcome back, Karen and all the pets and all our fellow Pet Talkers! I've missed you.

I'm glad to see Pet Talk back, and that you are OK, Karen. I know it's been a lot of work for you. It's sad that two years of posts are missing, though. I feel bad for the members who made such an effort to post to the pets of day, every single day, and all the great advice about sick pets.

    But we will post more!

Some things are still not working right, like posting pictures and editing posts, but I bet you are looking into it.
