    Sad morning for us :(

This morning, one of our fosters, Bella, left for her forever home in Ontario. I have had Bella, her brother, Rusty, and presumably, their father, Jasper, for near two months now. Bella was the most timid pup I have ever seen. It took weeks before I could pet her. This morning, she was exceptionally loving to me and I felt like a horrible person knowing she was leaving us 30 minutes later.

I know in my heart that she is going to a better home, she will have a 18 month old playmate, and two people that seem to understand her timidness is not a 'quick fix'.

Please keep Bella in your prayers as she travels north today, and that her transition will be as smooth as it can be.

    Johanna

Aww, such a mixed emotion morning for you. Bella knows what you did for her and I'm sure she was showing you her appreciation by being loving with you this morning.

I hope you will be able to get updates from the family on her.

And thank you for fostering and helping these dogs.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

You'll all be in our prayers, that's the hardest part of fostering!

    {{{Hugs}}}, Mom.

The longer they stay, the more progress they make ...
and the harder it is to send them on their way to that Furrever Home.

You did GOOD with Bella - she's a better Pup for having spent time in your Home.

That must be very difficult for you and Jonah...you did a good thing though and it will feel better soon.

it´s really sad when you have to let them go.. but also a happy time as knowing they´ll be loved and well cared for.. and that you did your job while you had them

but you know what makes ME sad?.... we never got to even see them.. two month and not one pic.. I think your other foster and new dog (Jasper ) as well as the kitties need to have a photoshoot soon.. very soon

OK! Thank you for making me laugh. You know, I saw your post on BCs last week and I tried to upload a pic of Bella to show you! But, alas, I couldn't figure out how to do it. See, I used to get a lot of help with photos from PCB, and well, she went and had a baby and left me. LOL.

This is what fostering is all about and you did an excellent job. I'm sure that Bella will do just fine in her new loving forever home. This is also one reason why I could never be a foster mom because I don't think I'd ever be able to let any one go.
