    Newest Rescue Kitten

I received a phone call yesterday afternoon from the same lady who had called me about several of my previous rescues born or dumped in a local trailer park. She found a female kitten approximately 11- 12 weeks old. She looks like she was most likely fathered by the same Tom cat who fathered Lacie's kittens (Casper, Gwen, etc.) and probably the 3 ferals I had a while back which included Spencer.

This baby (now named "Sheena") has somehow lost lost about half of her tail, and what is left curls back under as if she has her tail "tucked"!

She is a real purrbaby and quite the cuddler. She also loves to go absolutely WILD at about 4am!!!!

I bathed and dewormed her as soon as I brought her home, and she is quarantined from the other cats for a few days.

    Please welcome, Sheena.......

Hi Sheena, I'm sorry to hear about your tail.

But you don't have to worry anymore, as you will be well looked after, from now on.

    PS. What a cutie.

Awwww, such a sweetie! She already looks so comfy. You have the magic touch, Kim!

And Cricket wanted me to tell Sheena not to worry about the tail thing--Cricket is perfectly happy with no tail at all!

Yes, you are right Rose! I know now that God has given me this undying love for cats for a reason. I truly believe that this is my "calling" in life. I have recently been blessed with an "angel from Canada" who has sent another generous donation to help me continue my work.

Welcome little Sheena. You are in very good hands now. I'm so sorry to hear about your tail. I'm sure it won't slow you down and it makes you a little more unique.

Oh Kim, I'm so glad to hear you haven't give up on rescuing. It's so hard to let them go to their new homes, but then another one in need is soon found and made room for.

Sheena is an absolute doll, and she does look a lot like Gwen and Casper. She looks like she's totally at home and settled in already.

Would be nice to find that tom........

Good job Kim! Donations, even the smallest kind, help SO much. Catnclay has donated food to us on a regular basis. These bags have come in so handy many times. After spaying/neutering over 100 cats at the park, our charge cards have very little room for anything else!

You keep up the good work! This kitten is so cute!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

OMG, Sheena you are ssooooooooo adorable. I hope whatever happened to your little tail that it didn't hurt you too much. Ohh I just shudder at the thought of it.

Not to worry, cause you are in the best hands now and only good will come to you from now on.
