Joyful Jazz!
Dearest Jazz, what a beautiful Ragdoll guy you are! You are absolutely stunning, right from the very first photo of you gazing straight out at me with those lovely big eyes that just about match your fur color. Then I looked at more of your terrific photos, and you are gorgeous in every one of them, with many different looks and many different fur colors depending on the light. I wish I could reach through the screen and over to Illinois to pet you on that luxurious fur, and pet your dear brother Sprocket and your other family kitties on their no-doubt-luxurious fur, too! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrsons will pet all both for me .
And what a delightful story you have to tell! You and Sprocket came to your dear family to help ease their grief after the passing of their mom's beloved, very special kitty. You were shy at first, but as time went on you gained confidence, and you grew to be very sweet, likable, and cuddly. You enjoy exploring and playing with toys, especially your catnip mice. You are very affectionate and love cuddles and hugs and kisses. To your dear Purrrson you're the sweetest cat on the Earth! You do nose-bumps, face-licks, arm-hugs, body-rubs. You bury yourself under the covers with him/her, and you give comfort when needed. You are her/his light in darkness, a reminder that not all is bad in this world. You are her best friend, a blessing in her life. You two love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Jazz, on being chosen today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrson and Sprocket and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats. We know your family's beloved kitty Angel is rejoicing with you at the Rainbow Bridge!

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
