This woman was such an amazing freestyle skier. She was Canadian, and suffered a head injury on a superpipe training run 8 days ago. Only age 29. RIP Sarah.

That's such a shame. I heard of her accident, but hadn't heard that she has passed away.
RIP Sarah

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1The clock of life is wound but once and no man has the power
To know just when the hands will stop - on what day, or what hour.
Now is the only time you have, so live it with a will -
Don't wait until tomorrow - the hands may then be still.

I cried out Oh No when I heard the news this morning. The aorta wasn't repaired in time to keep the blood flow going to her brain. I heard today there was massive brain damage and that she died of cardiac arrest - which she had also suffered right after the accident. Her organs and tissues were donated.
She wasn't doing anything fancy - just a regular run down the slope.

That really is a shame. At least she died doing what she loved. RIP.
Her death is a loss to the sport. But it also proves people right who insist their kids wear helmets skiing, and all that. If this can happen to one of the world's best, it could also happen to you.
