A tool to make you look younger in photos

Ever heard of Neat Image? It's a little program to reduce the noise in digital photos, but recently I found out that when you use it on a portrait, it makes people look much younger!

Here's a photo of my sister and her hubby that I made two days ago:

And that's me, after a "virtual botox shot":

I sort of like the effect!

Oh, and this is what Neat Image is actually supposed to do:

I used it for the sky which often appears too noisy in photos. It's a nice little tool and there's a free version available.

Whatever happened to putting Vaseline on the camera lens?

*ducks to avoid object being thrown at her*

That is totally neat...I will look it up! Thanks!

Well, it's neat, but a bit too extreme for my taste.

Oh yes, that's been used a lot in the"old" days.

    I love your new avatar!

LOL, Karen I was going to say that. I thought that was you in the picture. They look great though, I might download that program just to try messing with the effects.

Randi, yes, it's extreme, and for sure it doesn't look natural - more like in an old commercial from the 60s! LOL I used the automatic settings, but you can also customize them. Anyway, I'm mostly using the tool to remove noise from skies, backgrounds etc.

@Karen & Alysser: yes, we've been told that a lot, especially when my sister was still living here. We used to a have a similar haircut in the nineties and were often mistaken for twins, but in fact, my sis is 8 years younger.
