Introducing my kitty-cat of eight years...Nipo!
Her name is pronounced like "knee-poe." Nipo is a Hawaiian word meaning LOVE! She is my love! We adopted her from the Hawaiian Humane Society (http://www.hawaiianhumane.org) in 1995, when I was in the fifth grade. She was around six months old at that time and had come from a family who found out after they adopted her that their daughter was allergic to cats. Instead of doing something about it right away, they left her locked up with her food, water and litter box and deprived her of human contact. Because she spent her kitten hood deprived of proper socialization she is a little bit untrusting and skittish. She is no lap kitty! Sometimes she chooses to sit on my butt if I’m laying down on the floor watching TV but that’s about it! The rest of the time I initiate contact. I love her to death though!!!
She is a beautiful shorthair classic tabby.
Here she is sitting amongst the ferns. I think it brings out the green in her eyes! What do you think?
Here she is at our old house, in one of her favorite sunning spots. She would wiggle in between the windowsill and the bottom louvre and soak up the sun!
Here she is playing with a cord! This photo is the most recent, she is probably around 5 or 6 years here.
And here is a great picture up close that shows off her beautiful tabby markings.
As you can tell I’m new to Photoshop. My cropping skills are croppy. LOL.
That’s all I have for now! Enjoy!
