    Can I fix this???

Ok, dumb question, but the closing end of the ( ) thingies isn't working when I press the key. I had to use the smilie face emoticon and then delete the "eyes" to show you whats not working on my keyboard. Its a new keyboard (only a month old -- grrr... I just went to put the end bracket there and it won't go.

I have not spilled anything on it. There's no dust or dirt on the keyboard. What gives????

Oh and the 0 works perfectly fine. Just not the ) when I press the zero and shift at the same time.

Anyone have any clue what happened and why?

  2. Never heard of anything like this before.

do the keys feel harder to push or loser then the other keys on your keyboard?
and are you sure nothing got spilled on it(maybe someone else had a booboo?)

Do you have another computer you can try that keyboard on?

Take it back if you can. Last one I had in used to turn out as a + sign whenever the w key was pressed, told the customer to go buy a new one!

Its most likely a defect with the keyboard itself and in how it was made. I also suggest taking it back!

PS: is it JUST the 0 key or is it the shift key?

Its the ) symbol... which strangely is working again

The 0 worked fine and the shift worked fine on everything else. I wonder what happened!

Cat hairs in the keyboard perhaps?

Who knows! Glad it's working again.

There's not much of a contact path in keyboard traces, so if there's any dust at all in the contact area it can cause problems.
