Is there a certain cat/breed that gets you everytime?

Orange females will always hold a special place in my heart. I don't know why I bother but I was looking at Petfinder.com and saw so many homeless orange females in NC. I would love to get a fourth kitty but with Shadow's pee pee issues and my apartment only allowing "2 cats" I am kind of out of luck. Why do I torture myself?

How could this face not get you every time?

Callie is my soul mate. I love her to no end.

I don't know if I'm drawn to a certain breed or color (although gray or gray/white kitties really do get me) but Richard says that I'm drawn to "needy" cats. You know the kind that have issues and really need a person. It was that way with both Jazz and especially poor Scout who had been abused. Richard couldn't figure out why I fell so in love with her. I just knew she needed me and I needed her.

Of course Richard says when animals look at me they just see a big sucker in a catnip or dogbone wrapper.

I agree Lorraine. All of my kitties have been "needy" in one way or another. Callie was definetely lucky Jason, my hubby, found her when he did but we took W and S when their original owners could no longer care for them. If we had not taken them, I'm not sure what would have happened-probably Humane Society as the owners could keep the dog, but not the cats.

(worked out for me though so I guess I shouldn't complain)

Callie, you are such a pretty girl. If you looked at me like that, I would give you anything your little heart desired.

In regards to a breed, I would have to say the tabby cat. I have always had a soft spot for tabbies. Maybe it's my love for tigers that makes me drawn to them.

As for a certain cat, that would have to be my special boy Chipper.
He just has to look at me with those eyes of his and my heart just melts.

When I go to cat shows I'm drawn to the Aby's, Maine Coons, Ragdolls, Birmans and many more. I just love cats. The colors that attract me the most are the red, rudy, or orange. I believe in rescuing cats from shelters or rescue groups. I'd have a cat in every color if I could afford it and had the space for them.

Long haired cats do it for me everytime, remind me of Sheba, my cat of 14 years (I had to put her down when I was 18). I love my boys though, and they're both short hairs!

I have a large variety pack here and I love each and every color. But, if there were no homeless or needy kitties and I could have my choice I would have a house full of orange and white kitties! I find myself drawn to them everytime I see one.

I'm partial to the all-black cats. Probably because my first ever cat was Black Jack. He was a neighborhood stray that actually adopted me. He chose to come inside, wasn't afraid of the dogs and slept next to me and while Samson slept on the other side of me. He was with me exactly one year, to the day before he left, just as quickly as he came.

But I really love them all. And I seem to be collecting one of every color!

Himalayans & Bengals go straight to my heart. Aside from being beautiful cats, they were always very precious to my heart.

I had 2 (non-purebred) himalayans with siamese markings when I was around 13 years old, and 1 all black himalayan cat. They were all siblings (one from a different litter, who was stolen), and I got the black & 1 siamese kittens after the first one was stolen. They were such loving cats, and they will always hold a special place in my heart. The one that was stolen even came back home about a year after he had been stolen - shortly after the black one had died. He was all grown up, sick, but definitely the same cat with the same fear of my shower stall They're very endearing, lazy, loveable, not very bright, but poseable "limp washcloth" cats. I really miss those guys, and I still have framed pictures of those babies up in my apartment - and I don't have very many pictures up.

Bengals - I currently have a 2 year old male bengal. He's a hoot. He's so smart, so friendly, extra sweet, and such an entertainment thrill. His fur is so soft, and his tummy is so fat! He's irresistable!
