Petco Store Roof Collapses In N.J., Trapping Several People

EATONTOWN, N.J. -- There's been an explosion and a roof collapse at a store in New Jersey.

Police in Eatontown said the roof of a Petco store collapsed, trapping several people inside.

Police Capt. George Jackson said a construction crew dug into a natural gas main outside the store. Workers inside smelled gas, and Jackson said there was an explosion.

Jackson said emergency units have located several people trapped in the debris. Two people have been taken to a hospital.

Last month our dog park organization had a booth set up at our local Petco.

An employee smelled gas and called the fire department and they evacuated the area.

The store is still there so I'm guessing they found the source of the leak and fixed it.

Hope no one was hurt in NJ.
