I just went back and read your original thread and I know that the vet recommended that food but why? Are they overweight?
My cats are on a low-protein diet and they did not like the food either. In the end, and as I do now, I give them a scoop of the LP wet food and spread a thin layer of Fancy Feast on top and that seems to do the trick.
On the finicky days, they lick the FF off the top and cry for more so I give them a bit more but mix it in with the LP stuff. It's hard I know.
Do what you think is right. At 8 and 9 years old, old habits are hard to break and if they are doing fine then why change?
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
