parson russles do not have short legs. parson russles are the show variety of the jack russle. JACK russles have short legs and long backs, and are bred to work, parson russles have short back and long legs and are bred soley for looks. they they were once the same breed but the true jack people had the breed split. the show breed(parson) and the true breed(Jack)

jack russles were never shown lol Jack russles are bred to work, while now parsons and jacks are differnt breeds they used to be 2 differnt types of the same breed, Parson russles used to share the name Jack russle, with the true jack russles, while the long legged varietly was always shown, the short legged variety was and is bred to work. so I guess you could say jacks used to show but now theyt are known as parsons because they were never the same as true jacks lol confusing I know.
