    New foster? :)

I am waiting to hear from the rescue organization that I volunteer for to see if we can afford to do heartworm treatment on this cute little girl!

Please pray that we have the funds available for her! She's a sweetheart and I'm going to offer to pay part of it if they say we don't have adequate funds!

She's about a year old and is about Millie's size.

Another terrier in my house!?! YIKES! I hope she recovers fast and I find her a great home quickly!

Yay! The VP just called and said it's a go! I'll pick Abby up Saturday AM an take her to the Vet to begin treatment.

Now, just pray that she's easily treatable and that she makes a full recovery!

I'll take pics on saturday if possible, if not I'll get some as soon as she gets home later next week.

We actually won't know for quite some time if they’ll get along. She'll be spayed on Monday and begin treatment shortly thereafter. She may get to come "home" for a week or so after her spay, but most of that will be in a crate. Then back to the vet for the heartworm treatment and then up to 6 weeks in the crate. 6 weeks of keeping a young terrier calm? I may end up at the funny farm, but I'll keep her calm somehow. I've been researching heartworm treatment and my only concern is keeping her calm when we come home.

Millie and Chester are uncontrollable when we come home. They bark and yelp and Millie jumps. I've worked with them on these behaviors for MONTHS to no avail. They are too spazzed (sp?) out for anything to faze them. Especially Millie. I think we may have a solution though. We're thinking that we can park our cars in the drive when we first get home and go in through the garage. We'll let Millie & Chester in the garage to greet us (we don't do a greeting now) and then leave them in the empty garage. (Don't worry our garage only houses our cars, no chemicals. Those are kept in the shed on the other side of the chain link fence. )While they're in the garage we can leash Abby and take her to the front yard to do her business.

I hope and pray this works and I hope and pray she doesn't get over stimulated and have complications

Oh what a cutie Micki! Maybe she'll surprise you and be okay with the crating. Murph sure did. Course being over 13 probably helped, although he's a very active 13. He got use the couch potato life pretty quickly.

Can't wait to see pics of her with your gang!
