Have you seen the October Martha Stewart magazine?

I'm not here to intentionly plug her magazine but I wanted to share what I saw in it.

She does a whole segment on creating pumpkin "animals". They are too cute for words. There's a porcupine that's created by using clear mini-christmas lites that stick through the pumpkin to look like the quills.

There's a kitty with little gourds for feet and all kinds of other fun things. There's also an owl, a snake, and I can't remember the others.

Anyway, take a look next time you see the magazine in the store.

Martha recommending having a party if you want to do the snake since there are so many pumkins to carve.

I just went and grabbed my mom's (she LOVES that magazine).

The animals are sooo cute!! I've tried sculpting pumpkins instead of carving before. It was so hard!
