Beautiful Mina!
Dearest Mina, a.k.a. "Meany" Mina, what a beautiful lady you are indeed! You're a gorgeous Himalayan kitty, absolutely stunning in those great photos, and thank you for sharing them with us. You are quite photogenic! You really know how to work that camera, don't you, and you come up with these PURRRfect poses. That thick Himmy fur is downright luxurious and looks so soft, and you have the sweetest face with those lovely big pale-blue eyes and those cute little ears with the thick ear-tufts. I wish I could reach through the screen and over to New Haven County, CT and pet you, and pet other family cats, too! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you all for me .
And what a story you have to tell! Your dear Purrrson got you from a rescue just in time, before you were due to be euthanized. I am so very glad and grateful you were saved, and I'm so very grateful to your Purrrson for saving you. Blessings to you both! When you were first home, you were big on biting and scratching, and that's how your Purrrson came to call you "Meany." Maybe there were too many other cats around for you then, but now you hardly ever do that, unless you're really irritated.
You have the most delightful Purrrsonality! You make your dear Purrrson smile with the cute things you do. You like to drink from the toilet bowl after the toilet's been flushed, and you like to sleep on your own water bowl. You sleep on a pink satin quilt on one side of her bed, with your head on your favorite book, Watership Down. You like to be skritched but not picked up or cuddled. You look quizzically up at her from the floor. And you've recently discovered that breakfast is served in the computer room, and you just need to get out of bed and show up! You love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Mina, on being chosen Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrson and other kitties and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
