    Beautiful Mina!

Dearest Mina, a.k.a. "Meany" Mina, what a beautiful lady you are indeed! You're a gorgeous Himalayan kitty, absolutely stunning in those great photos, and thank you for sharing them with us. You are quite photogenic! You really know how to work that camera, don't you, and you come up with these PURRRfect poses. That thick Himmy fur is downright luxurious and looks so soft, and you have the sweetest face with those lovely big pale-blue eyes and those cute little ears with the thick ear-tufts. I wish I could reach through the screen and over to New Haven County, CT and pet you, and pet other family cats, too! I can't, of course, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you all for me .

And what a story you have to tell! Your dear Purrrson got you from a rescue just in time, before you were due to be euthanized. I am so very glad and grateful you were saved, and I'm so very grateful to your Purrrson for saving you. Blessings to you both! When you were first home, you were big on biting and scratching, and that's how your Purrrson came to call you "Meany." Maybe there were too many other cats around for you then, but now you hardly ever do that, unless you're really irritated.

You have the most delightful Purrrsonality! You make your dear Purrrson smile with the cute things you do. You like to drink from the toilet bowl after the toilet's been flushed, and you like to sleep on your own water bowl. You sleep on a pink satin quilt on one side of her bed, with your head on your favorite book, Watership Down. You like to be skritched but not picked up or cuddled. You look quizzically up at her from the floor. And you've recently discovered that breakfast is served in the computer room, and you just need to get out of bed and show up! You love each other very much, don't you. What a wonderful love-filled home you share!

Congratulations, darling Mina, on being chosen Cat of the Day! We hope you and your dear Purrrson and other kitties and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

    Beautiful Mina!

Good morning, Mina! Happy Cat of the Day, sweetheart!

What a gorgeous, silver coated, blue-eyed, senior Himalayan girl you are, Mina! Just look at the photos your Mom has included with her tribute! You're stunning, and truly lived the pampered life, right down to sharing the "big bed" with your human, sleeping cozily atop your pink satin quilt, head resting comfortably (
) on an edition of "Watership Down!"

And so it breaks my heart, brings me to tears, the notion that a beautiful, healthy Himalayan, homeless due to no fault of her own, was scheduled to be PTS. I hope and pray for the day when kill shelters are no more!

Thankfully you survived such a cruel fate, Mina, rescued in the nick of time, finding your way to a truly committed furever human, a safe and comfy home in which to enjoy your golden years, carefree and loved unconditionally! And oh, how well you settled into your new digs, all but shedding your "Meany Mina" moniker! But no matter, for that's what being loved unconditionally is all about: taking the good and um, those not so good day in stride! Besides, the joy and laughter you bring to your Mom's days with your adorable antics well worth the "cost" of the occasional cranky day! You may not have been a planned addition to the family, but no doubt it was destined to be!

She has a couple of cute things she does. When you flush a toilet she gets up on the rim and puts her head in and waits for it to come up to where she can drink from it. She likes to sleep on her water bowl, I am waiting for it to turn over and wet her one of these days
Thanks for the BIG smiles, Mina! Meeting you today, reading your heartwarming rags to riches rescue story and seeing your heart-melting pics has been such a treat! I hope you're being treated to a very special Cat of the Day celebration...a late morning breakfast in the computer room, followed by some toilet monitoring, lol; taking a long, afternoon nap, followed by some snackies; being loved and pampered to pieces!!! Lots of love to you, beautiful Mina, our very special and most deserving Cat of the Day, EVERY day!!!

Hello, Mina in Connecticut! Happy Cat of the Day!

What a beautiful Himalayan kitty you are! I like your fluffy fur, your long whiskers, and your blue eyes! I would be very glad to pet you if I could (but no picking up or cuddling, per your request). You are lovely!

You are a very busy kitty! You rest with your head on your water bowl, or sit beside the window- maybe you look outside at the birds and everything that's going on! You sleep in the big bed with a pink satin quilt, and come to the computer room to be served your breakfast! You are a loved kitty, as it should be! PURRRRRfect!

Happy, happy Cat of the Day to dear Mina!
