Thanks for posting this Deb... I know the mother of the boy was in tears when she saw JM had made it to second, she was so happy... now she is just desperate to keep them there till the end of August. Thanks for your help

Will be sure to vote for the other causes when I do my voting for the day

    I voted again today!

Please vote for the Northern Illinois Food Bank if you have an extra vote. They are doing important work in the collar counties around Chicago. I've gone to their current warehouse a few times with my church to volunteer. Once we spent a whole morning washing and relabeling canned vegetables; once we inspected boxes of frozen mashed potatoes (2 trays in each box- make sure the trays are securely wrapped w/ no holes or damage, close the boxes and freezer tape them shut and back in the freezer they go); and once I helped stack boxes of dry cereal onto pallets, shrink-wrap and inventory them to go out to the individual food pantries that NIFB supports. It's a big building, huge operation 6 days a week, so when they say they are running out of space, they really mean it. They are doing good work.

It doesn't look like they can win for August but let's put them on the radar for September (if they can roll over to Sept...usually only the top 100 roll over) and if they are in for September, we can rally for them.

I will vote for them all when I vote later

Our friend with the JM son posted this on her facebook: 'Last Friday an American child lost his 7 year battle with JDM...please vote and let this be the last battle lost.' So yes... please vote (and if you could, please keep her son in your thoughts.. he is currently having treatment and we are all hoping it is working...).. thanks.
