    I'm comcerned

I've had the flu for about six days now. I'm pretty congested and have gone from being a tenor to a bass! I was hoping it would go away by itself, but it isn't. I'm concerned that it complicating either my diabetes or my Atrial Fibrillation. I'll be calling my doctor this morning to find out what's happening.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I am feeling a little better, but I'm still congested and cough some. I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow at 11:15 and I'll see what she says. Flu shots really work. NOT!!

Folks, keep in mind that each year's flu shot is the scientists' best guess as to what flu strain will be active the following year. So it only protects you for those strains, and others, like has happened this year, sometimes spring up against which it cannot work.

Your so right Karen, the strain of flu going around now was something the CDC didnt anticipate from previous data collections during flu seasons.
Normally flu shot protects 90% but it's doing a 40% job this time around for flu season.

The best protection is WASH YOUR HANDS... WASH YOUR HANDS... WASH YOUR HANDS ... and Try to stay away from people who have the flu.

The flu shot this year was really off-target; only 40% effective. Get well soon!

David ~ This year's flu is a really bad one. I got it 5 weeks ago. I really only felt bad for about 1 week, but I'm STILL coughing every now and then. It's a very nasty bug. Please take care of yourself.

This year's flu has been tough and long lasting. My husband and I have had it, him much worse than me. It took him over a week to get over it and a good 5 days for me. I hope that's all it is, but it doesn't hurt to make sure, David. Good luck tomorrow and I hope you will be feeling better soon.
