I had work training today with the former roommate of Buster's owner. I hadn't talked to them since they moved this past fall. She informed me that Buster was recently put down after becoming paralyzed in the lower back and back legs. I can't even look at Autumn without crying. I know that is how she is going to go too because these two were like identical twins in personality and with their health issues. It makes me never want to take her to the dog park again or do anything that she can get hurt from. Buster was just as active as Autumn is. Autumn's 38 puonds now. I'm hoping that keeping her slim will keep her around a little longer, but she still has the joint issues. Buster's family must be completely heartbroken. I'm going to see if I can get their new address and maybe ask if they want Autumn to visit.
