    We Did it!!

I show a basset hound/ Newfoundland cross who is about two years oldand her name is Annie in 4H in her very first show she had to show against dogs that had years more practice and she got out of 12 in her class she got champion, the at the fair she got a blue in obed. and a red in showmanship. well anyway thats pretty good for a first time dog, and this year she got champion at the county fair the she went on the state and got blue, a half point away from champion, and i think thats pretty good beings she has never been to a dog show that big and to make matters even better my judge was the same judge i had the year before!!!! Then i cried because i saw this really instpiring thing, a dog with only three legs get reserve champ. and 2 blues, it was so cool i was told my dog couldnt show with a fractured leg but i had permission form my vet. So any 4H'ers out there if you get a chance to go to state fair take it i garentee you lots of fun!!!

    Congratulations!!
I bet she is gorgeous!!! What a mixture!! Would love to see pics too!!!
I used to do 4-H also!!
I enjoyed watching the dog show at our fair except it was about 100 degrees that day and too darn hot!!! The only dogs that were doing what they were supposed to were the white ones!! The black ones were up and down!!! I felt so sorry for them!

Way to go Annie!!! You are certainly doing something right. I agree with the others...we want pictures. 4H is such a great program and I LOVE that they don't make their animals be "pure" in order to be shown. Are you anywhere close to Duluth?? My parents had a house about 40 miles south of Duluth in Wisconsin that they were going to use as a retirement home, but decided to stay here in Indiana instead.
