Cat Likes To Ride On Your Shoulder

Hi everyone. My co-worker/friend has a male orange and white cat that's about 11/2 years old. He now likes to jump from the cat tree on to her shoulder and takes a little ride while she walks to the bathroom. She doesn't understand why he's started doing this. I've heard about Aby's riding shoulders but not other cats. His name is also Sunny and here's a picture of him when he was still a kitten. Do any of your cats like to shoulder surf?

Maybe it's just the name? My RB Heart Cat was a big old black & white cat (about 15 pounds and lived 20 yrs ) was also named Sunny and he lived on my shoulder. I learned how to cook, wash and do just about everything with this heavy cat riding on my shoulder purring and drooling the whole time

When I was four I was given a cat that was a few years old. I had her until I was 19, when she was put down (very painful, I thought I could go to the vets myself and all, but I couldn't see the road on the way home I was crying so hard. Digging her grave was even worse..)
Anyway, she spent hours on my shoulders, drooling, sleeping, and purring. I was very comfortable with her there and apparently so was she!!!

Keep in mind that although I might look a little dorky in that picture I'm also only 13!!!!

That's Filou's daily way of interaction. He comes in the morning and in the evening when I come home giving me my scritchies and kisses

whispers is the best shoulder surfer out of all cats I have. mostly when I take out my dog, crayola for a walk. she's never attempted to jump off my shoulder! people walking by, "aww look at this kitten!!! *sticking their eyes to my back until I disappear....* is her favorite part! (atttentttion) she purrs her best on my shoulders too. now when I take the leash off the rack to put on crayola, she runs to the door and gives me headbumpies as of "don't forget me! I wanna go out! me! me!" I can't get enough of that adorableness!! aww....*zooms and HUGGING sleepy whispers*
rest and sleep softly sweet locke..

MooShoo LOVES to ride on my shoulder. But he usually climbs up my pant leg to get there. Especially if he wants to go bye-bye in the C-A-R. Sphynxes are known for shoulder surfing.
