    Comfortis monthly flea: warning!

If you use the monthly flea pill, Comfortis,

There have been quite a few problems with it and Heartworm given at the same time.

Comfortis and Heartworm meds must be given at least 1 week apart or seizures and death can be caused. This is not on current packaging info, but will be in the future.

Although I think I read that problems arise with the comfortis when you give too much heartworm meds... so you have to be very strict on the amount of heartworm med given.

My vet told me the info in the initial post. Most vets are now aware of the issue, it is widely discussed on the veterinarian practice net, she said.
