    Worried about new kitten

I have some questions about deworming.
How long does strongid stay good for? It's in liquid form.

My new foster kitten, no doubt has worms, very scary I must say. She is SOOOO bloated (but the rest of her body is suffering because she's not getting enough nutrients, and didn't used to be on the right food, if much at all).
Her belly is hard as a rock. I know I haven't had her very long right now. But I am still worried, is there anything else I can do to help her?
I feel so guilty feeding her, cause it looks like she's going to explode!

How old is the kitten ? Has he/she been seen by a Vet.? Is
the kitten "going potty" as normal? I don't know anything
about the deworming medicine, but maybe a Vet or Humane
Society or Shelter worker would. Good luck with the little one.

I would also call your vet and/or take her to see the vet. It's better to be safe than sorry. Good luck and please keep us updated.

What do you mean by how long is Strongid good for? Do you mean how long does it keep the kitty dewormed or how long does the medicine in the bottle stay "fresh"?

The bottle should have an expiration date on it .... and my vet gives instruction to deworm the kittens 3 days in a row. Hope this helps!

I would take her to the vet because I know that over the counter dewormers don't get rid of all worms. I know that the petsmart shot clinic does a dewormer shot and that only runs around $15. But the best thing to do is to take a fecal sample to your vet and have them test it.
