    limping

my ###### spaniel is limping like crazy! he cant even put his leg on the ground! When it does touch the ground, he whimpers. we made an appointment with the vet, but it cant be till after christmas. Should i be really worried and try to schedule a new appointment or wait for after christmas?

Do you have and Emergency vet clinic in your area? If so, I would definately take him there or try to find another vet that will see him. It could be serious. And think of the pain he's in.

it does sound pretty serious. try to make an appointment earlier. good luck and i hope your spaniel gets better fast

Have you looked at the paw? Is there excessive swelling? Does it look like he might have a splinter in his foot somewhere? If you can't see anything visable then you need to get an x-ray to determine if there are broken bones. I can't imagine a vet putting this off until after Christmas when that is four days away. You might want to try to locate another vet who is open and can see your pet today.

    Hi,

Just wondering if you had your Spaniel seen by the Vet?
Hope he's not limping or still in pain.

Glad to hear your dog is better. I was kinda curious why do you ###### in front of spaniel. I mean if you have a Cocker Spaniel why does it make a difference if you just spell it out? Its just a breed not like it is a bad name.

I wasn't jumping onto you I was just asking. I didn't realize some computers done that. Sorry if it sounded like I was jumping you. I was just asking. Ok

So glad to hear your pup is doing better!! Splinters can be so painful and if not removed, can fester and cause infection. Good job!!
