    I need your help...

I have to write this poem for my American Lit class, and it has to be about me. I'm absolutely STUCK... and don't know what to write. If you could, just say some stuff you know about me, or what you think of me, etc. I just need some ideas! I'm so stumped.

Write a poem about the things you love! Critters, people, sunrises, whatever!

And I can't find a poem I need as a reference... It's by Walt Whittman, and I don't know what it's called, but it is a long story about him and his life, like what I have to do. If anyone knows what its called or can help me find it, I'd love you forever!

Just kidding, I found it... Maybe I'll post the poem when I'm done. I have to read it in front of class and I'm panicking...

Here's the final poem. Wish me luck tomorrow!

    Age sixteen.
Barely an adult, still acts like a child.
Guitar strings, radios, sheets of music,
just a touch of what I am.
    Pajama pants, hoodies and socks,
    my usual weekend attire.
    A non-stop job
on the move all the time,
    trying to keep up
with my nephew running down the hall.
Almost two, the love of my life,
yet the biggest burden of staying home on a Saturday night.
    My camera is my favorite
piece of technology, a window to
a world that offers no criticism,
    no lies, no problems.
    Shy and quiet,
    but loud and obnoxious
only when I need to be.
    This is what I am
    barely an adult at
    age sixteen.

Great poem, Megan. I was going to suggest you include something about Gavin, great aunt that you are!!!!
