To quote Dr. Phil: "We teach people how to treat us". If your husband won't do his share around the house, hire help. You are in no condition to do all that you're doing. Don't bow down to the problem, take control of it. Best wishes to you.

I'm wondering if you have a torn rotater cuff which if that is the case surgery is in order. And Hubby is going to have to buck up and GROW up.
If not - you will need to go stay with someone who CAN take care of you after surgery b/c RC surgery isn't something to joke about.
I agree with Medusa. You teach people how to treat you and if you decided you are only worth how he treats you he of course is going to agree.
Maybe you should go stay somewhere for a few days and let him see what its like without you!

She is pretty worried as we all would be.
Please pray he's safe and comes home.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR PRAYERS & THOUGHTS:

My grandfather is coming home today from the hospital, after three weeks! This has just made my day and I am just so thankful. I will be going to the Holy Cross to visit my grandmother and drop off a note just to say 'thank you' for keeping him down here just a little bit longer.
You're the one sure thing I've found so you better stick around...

The doc says the problem with my shoulder actually started last June when I had a biopsy done on a lump in my right breast. I started favoring that arm because lifting things became harder and I was afraid I'd do damage to the stitches or the surgery site. So I'm been unconsiously favoring it for all this time. It just got to the point to where the shoulder said, "Hey, I can't move like I used to, I really want to" I feel slightly better today, except for the FLU I've had for 2 days. Thanks for all the prayers.

Let us know how the tests results come back. In the meantime, we'll be praying for you and your cat. What's her name?

Sounds like the Dawg Ketcher was "waiting" for him!
Glad he made it home in good (but dirty) shape!

    For Butch.

He's in Iraq right now, and has been since August of '07, but he's supposed to be getting sent home on April 2nd.

He's been emailing me a lot lately and they have just been getting shot at and mortared all day, for two days. He said that a group of people died about a half hour ahead of where he was. He's so shaken. And he keeps saying, "The way this is going, I'm wondering if I'll even make it home."

I'm seriously fearing PTSD when he comes home.

Please let him be okay, both emotionally and physically.

Many thanks for all prayers sent for my arthritis attack!

Friday's visit to the doctor resulted in a decrease in amount of Prednisone. I am to cut the dose to 2.5 mg for a week-10 days and quit altogether. Blood tests show no Rheumatoid Arthritis.

I feel like my old self, but wiser and more cautious about my health. I thought it was incurable; maybe it wasn't RA. Whatever it was, I'm so glad it's gone. It had to be the PT prayers

I'd like to add Vela to the prayer request thread. She lost her beloved Ginger so suddenly with no warning or explanation yesterday and she's dealing with severe shock and grief. I know she is questioning things she did, wondering if she could have prevented it or done something to stop it. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Ginger's memorial thread is here: http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=139921

    Papa Again

My Papa (grandpa) needs thoughts again. Just got a call from my grandma, she was very panicked, apparently Papa fell and there was blood all over.

My dad rushed over but that's all I know about it.
