Please pray for my sister-in-law, Pauline & my brother Paul. She went to Boston to her specialist last Monday, they immediately hospitalized her & moved her name to the top of the recipient list for a liver transplant. And this morning her mother died, back in Maine where they all live.

After my brother called us this morning, we drove up & saw them. She doesn't look good at all, but is in good spirits in spite of everything going on. She only wishes she could have seen her mother again, but their son was able to be with his grandmother when she passed on.

I really am concerned for Pauline's life, if a liver doesn't come available soon. The transplant team has been working with her all week. She is extremely ill. (She's only in her early 50's.) My brother's been so stressed out trying to take care of her & her mother for the past couple months, he could use some prayers, too.

I'm adding all the new prayer requests to my own list --
K9soul, I hope they are able to help Melissa - she's so young.

    Hopeful update for Melissa

Just received an email from my mom:

Melissa "awoke" this morning around 1:30 and is now communicating. An MRI and blood tests were done and we are awaiting results but she seems to quickly be coming around. Thomas (my stepfather) spoke briefly with her and Karen said that she is doing very well, though still exhausted. Thank you for your prayers.
Thank you again so much for the prayers. I'm hoping her recovery will continue in a positive way and they can find out what happened to cause this.

They have compatible organs! (see post#1096)

Please keep praying for my SIL Pauline, she is in surgery right now for a liver & kidney transplant.
    Thanks-- Pat

(and thank you, God, please bless the family of the donor for their generous gift & comfort them in their grief at losing a loved one.)

That's amazing news Pat, Pauline and the family continue in my prayers, as well as the donor's family. What an amazing thing that a donor can give life to another person. Every time I hear or read about it, even in typing a medical report for my job, it seems so miraculous.

Melissa has been released from the hospital, her MRI and other tests were normal. It was determined she did indeed overload on fluids. The thing about it that upsets the family is originally after she felt sick and they took her to the Medic tent, they just assumed she wasn't feeling well because she hadn't been getting enough fluids, and so they pushed her to drink MORE until she had a seizure and went into a comatose type state. They could very well have caused her death by what they did. Water toxicity is nothing to fool around with. Thank God she made it through.

I'm saying a prayer now for all those in need who have posted all those who have not, who are suffering in any way.

    Prayers, please:

For Scotty, a friend who was waiting to even get ON a liver transplant list...died in his bed several days ago age 50.

Prayers for his friends, and my friend Irene who knew his well and is distraught.

Prayers that Scotty's parents will at least fly out for a service...they aren't coming out here even though he died.

Next - for Roland, so close to having a 10 year dream come true, and wandering around unmotivated as decisions are in other hands, but his is key to making this happen...prayers for him in his confusion and fear.

And...for Ernest and Lynn, who when the doctors could do nothing, researched and did their own treatment for Lynn's liver cancer. It was in remission for a bit. Now she has a surgical tube so her stomach can get food and her liver can drain properly. She is lovely and vibrant and 56, and has a few months.

    Thank you.

Saying prayers for all our needs.
Catty, prayers for all your friends, I hope Lynn's condition improves. And condolences over Scotty, may he rest in peace. Even if his parents don't make it out, it sounds like he will have a wonderful group of friends celebrate his life. Prayers that earnest can see the light in the darkness and find his way out of confusion & fear.

    Short update to answered prayer-
Pauline continues to improve daily. Her "new" liver is functioning well, and her kidneys continue to improve. She's still in Intensive Care, my brother is still at her side. Thanks for continued prayers for healing.

Asking for prayers for my brother in law Bob.He is dying. Most likely tonight.
He had bone Cancer. He got a doner...finally,it worked...the Cancer is gone.BUT the Chemicals from the Chemo were to much on his liver and now he is dying.
It's so sad.He is the nicest sweetest guy you could meet, only 53.
He is married to my husband's sister Mary.
Mary got so upset her blood pressure went up to 300 with severe chest pains. So while Bob was being sent home to die...Mary was going IN to get herself help before she got really sick.
Now she is home with her husband...Mary is doing fine now.
Bob needs our prayers for his passing to be pain free and God speed to heaven.

Thank You Kim for this wonderful siggy

Prayers and hugs for Bob and Mary. How horribly unfair that this happened...!

May his passing be peaceful...and Mary is blessed having family near at this time.
