Whoops, I forgot that I needed to update! The kids did great. The trip was not totally glitch-free but overall went really well. They graduate this week.

Talked to my mom a bit ago, she told me that my dad was taking his mother to the hospital (his father is the one in the hospital already.) She said that she was having chest pains.

I imagine a lot of the anxiety/stress of her husband being there has worn her down. Please think of the both of them.

    Edit/Update:
They think my grandmother had another mini-stroke like she did last time. She is okay for now, they are keeping her overnight for observation.

Please continue to keep my grandfather in your thoughts. This will be the first night that my grandmother doesn't visit him and he'll be wondering where she is, and we'll have to tell him that she is in the hospital as well.

Also, being that they are both my father's parents, keep him in your thoughts especially.

ALSO, (sorry for clogging up this thread!) but my grandparents have 3 dogs. They were already very confused as to why my grandpa wasn't home, but now their mommy isn't home. My cousin is caring for themright now, I may go over later in the night to let them out.

    Thanks, Alyssa, I appreciate it.

    My grandma came home today.
Tomorrow, my grandpa is being transferred to a temporary nursing home/rehabilitation center. My dad and grandma went and checked it out today.

The good thing is that they will allow his dogs to come visit him. He will be VERY happy about that as he misses them so much. My dad and grandpa promised him that if the transfer goes well and he cooperates tomorrow, they will bring his favorite dog, Angel, to visit him. The visiting hours are whenever and you're allowed as many people as you want. The hospital's visiting hours were only from 6:30-7:30 and you were only allowed 2 people at a time. Barely enough time for all of us to really visit with him.

That's really good news, Kay! I bet seeing Angel and the other pups will really help his recovery!

    .

    What a horrible night.

My mom just called me and said that the motor in her car died. And she has nobody to call.

Prayers that she gets home, please? She's stuck off an interstate exit about 20 miles from me.

Oh Bri! Prayers for your mom. Would the state troopers be of help?

When a car engine dies, it is not always an expensive thing.

I hope she gets help soon - if she calls the police or emergency, they should help her!

She just called me back. Some man along the interstate is bringing her home. She forgot to lock the car doors though.

And the car is stuck there. Ah well. I've hated it since the day we got it.

Well, at least your critters are being looked after....needing car repairs now, or even another car, makes that more important than ever.

I wonder if she knows anyone at work that can look at her car?

Prayers that all works out - and it will.

She'll sure be tired when she gets home.

Yeah, thank you. I'm pretty sure we'll need another car. We've had so many problems from the old hunk of crap. My uncle was going on and on about what a wonderful car it was.. . It has that problem, it leaks antifreeze, it leaks transmission fluid, it overheats.. and I'm sure there's more that is unknown to me.

    Thanks. *hugs*

Pardon me...but I suspect your uncle's thinking about that car has a "leak" as well....

Maybe he can help with another one? That car is not safe for you or your mom.
