    Nature in your area!

I thought it would be cool to see some pics of the nature surrounding us Pt'ers. I have quite a few photos to share so hope you enjoy. Please post some! Here:
These were taken at the Manasquan Resivior:

Rain here in Seattle but cought this in a few second reprieve.

from another side of Seattle, last summer.

Hiking up by Mt. Rainer, area called Green Water.

hiking by Snoqualmie Falls, this water fall is called Franklin Falls.

Same place, just farther down the river. I sat up the camera and ran back to get in the shot.

and last, the tulips in April in the Skagett Valley.

But really, mostly rain here now. Around 3" yesterday. Some areas had more. But it keeps us green.

These were taken on Christmas Eve in my front yard. We only have 1 or 2 days where the trees are these pretty colors here. They're green most of the year and then turn fall colors in December for a day or two lol. And now they're bare, and will be like that until March.

These aren't really nature, but they are really neat photos that I took last May.

These pictures aren't exactly nature either Sorry, I'm more into grungy photography and I take pictures of old things. Anyway, this is an old mental hospital named Sunland but nicknamed Sunnyland by the teenagers around here. It's supposedly haunted. My brother and a few of my friends have been inside, but it's illegal so I'm not going in. Plus there's asbestos in there. Someone bought it in 2004 for a few million dollars I believe, and they have yet to blow it up like they said they'd do. They're going to build an office building or apartment complex on it If you're interested, here's a website about Sunnyland: Sunland: Tallahassee. It's really neat to read!

These are a couple years old, but it looks the same nonetheless. This is a cotton field around here.

And a random, run-down building just for good measure

As you can see, I live in/around the country. I just don't live on a lot of land

I don't really have any pictures of the places around my house, but basically, there's a little green park next to my house, and then there's some woodland on that, and if you go a bit further then there's a little river. It's nothing really that grand, but it almost seems sweet in a way, and it's home to lots of wildlife such as this gorgeous bird:

...a kestrel If you go a little way from my house, then there's lovely countryside that's very flat, so perfect for farmers and stables. A little further away, it gets more hilly, and the famous Pennine hills aren't too far away either

    Yukon nature...

I live in the middle of a forest. Nature everywhere. These first two pictures were taken around noon today:

That's Golden Horn Mountain. Taken while I was out training dogs, but I can see the mountain from my living room as well.

Frosty trees on the sled trail today.

A Raven stealing dog food in my yard a couple weeks ago.

My favorite sledding trail taken in October 05.

Five Finger Rapids on the Yukon River, early September 05.

Mary Lake in the summer. I ran the dog team across this lake this afternoon!

    The definition of rural is:
    1. Of, relating to, or characteristic of the country.
    2. Of or relating to people who live in the country: rural households.
    3. Of or relating to farming; agricultural.

Do you mean that you live in an urban area?
