In the sleepy huskies thread I mentioned that Bandit had to go to the vet today. He has a weird little lump on the back of his head. Bandit will be 9 later this month and occasionally acts his age lately so I wanted to get him checked out.
The final result is that Bandit has a wart. No big deal, nothing to do, very common especially in older dogs. My vet will only remove them if they start to bug the dog or if they grow someplace like near the eyes. Bandit's doesn't bug him at all. He doesn't scratch at it or seem like it hurts him. So we are leaving it alone. He will likely get more of them as he ages, but his fur is so thick they won't be very visible!
Other than that he got a clean bill of health, even a compliment on the great shape his teeth are in!
Cost of dog exam: 36.50
Peace of mind: Priceless
(The cat food I had to buy cost me more than the vet app't!)
