ooh this is sooooo hard! sooo many hounds! I voted foxhound though, because I can't resist a nice foxhound, but there is also the afghan and the bloodhound and the Ibizan and the curs and the coonhounds! I would rank this group #4 overall of my favorite groups.

When I was younger (like 6-8) I really, really, really wanted to get a beagle...not sure why, lol, but it was all I would talk about. My mom has always adored Bloodhounds and she almost got one from the shelter many years ago, I think that they are the cutest puppies. I really like greyhounds and bassets...

I've cuddled Greyhounds & loved them. & I've played with a puppy Whippet which was the funniest thing I had ever seen, so its a tie for me.

    I'm biased! *Silly-ukis*

As a child, I fell in love with the Arabian horse. And while embracing the heritage of this amazing animal, I learned about the Saluki. To me, they are part of a deja vu sort of "knowing" that seems to call to me at some level I still don't understand. Eventually, I did have a couple Salukis and a few Arabian horses. Talk about dreams come true!

Now that I'm less active and my needs are different, I have Anatolians which also spring from the same basic heritage of nomadic cultures. The personalities of these breeds really appeal to me. They can all be standoffish, singleminded and yet very loyal. I guess you have to know all three of them to know what they have in common.

Whippet^^! No, not just because Ethan is part whippet.
I... honestly don't know why I'm appealed to them more than the others... maybe it is because of Ethan.
