    Horse Show Pictures

Hopefully you guys don't get sick of seeing pictures from my horse shows.

Today was the school show for fall. I just did a flat class instead of jumping. Now I kind of regret that because I wound up with a good horse and could have done well in that class.

I rode McGee, an old (not sure how old, late teens to twenties) thoroughbred. Normally he is a huge crab, and charges at other people/horses. But on show days he tends to show off. Most people who ride him do very well since he loves showing!

Here are some of the pictures...(Sorry none are too exciting or good. My mom still doesn't really know how to work the digital camera.)

    Warming him up

    After my class...
Most of the pictures while I was riding turned out really bad, so I'm not even going to bother posting them.

    When I got off

And one of me and the girl I ride with.

McGee wasn't my first choice to ride, only because of his temperment. But I'm not complaining! Thanks to him we got 1st place!

I was wondering the same thing?? why dont you dress up more?? In our horse shows, you HAVE to wear black pants and a nice belt, and a long sleeve shirt:

I wear the same outfit for Western Horsemanship and Pleasure.... I know its a bit different for English, but they usually wear jodhoppers and jackets and the whole nine yards

This was just a school show. We didn't need to dress up. (Although it would be a good excuse for me to get chaps since I'm in need of some!)

Cool! Did you say you rode and Palatine? I haven't had a schooling show in like 2 years, and I have no rides to the barn so I just called this place in libertyville called Fair Chance Farms to scedule a lesson, and they have schooling shows more often Also, since my mom will be driving me again she's buying me new Breeches, boots, and 1/2 chaps because I'm so in DIER need of them all!
You look really good with McGee!

    Thanks everyone!

Suki Wingy, I do ride at Palatine. Do you still ride at Wedgewood? I was there last night with my friend Audrina. I hadn't seen the new location yet, it looks really nice!

yeah, it's taken us (I mean them) a while to get the back outdoor ready and up and they are going to tear down the old "boarder's barn" and build a giant indoor probably much like the old (Luxurious) one. Lexi has a JRT puppy named Polly. Caramel finally gave up and I think Mickey did too. There have been so many of changes. I was going to switch to Palatine but I really don’t like the fact that it is owned by the park district and that if you live in Palatine you get discounts, that is not fair.

I met Polly, she is really cute! She stole my shoe and tried to eat the goose poop off of it.

I met Carmel two summers ago when I went back to the old Wedgewood just to visit. Audrina told me last night that she was put down. She had founder, right?
