Do you sing to your cat(s)?

Both of my cats have their own little song that I sing to them. Does anyone else do the same thing? I hope I'm not the only one...

    Tux's song: Tuxie-boy, Tuxie-boy,
La, La, La, La, La, La,
Loves his toys, Loves his toys,
La, La, La, La, La, La.

Pesca's song: Who's that sweet little bundle of love?
    It's Pesca! Our Pesca!

For both of them, I borrowed Frank Sinatra's "Love and marriage" song:

Tux and Pesca, Tux and Pesca
They go together just like salt and peppa’
    This I tell you brother
You can't have one without the other

Tux and Pesca, Tux and Pesca
Closer than your average brother and sista’
    Ask the local gentry
And they will say it's elementary

Try, try, try to separate them
    It's an illusion
Try, try, try, and you will only come
    To this conclusion

Tux and Pesca, Tux and Pesca
They go together just like salt and peppa’
Their aunty was told by their mother
    You can't have one
    You can't have none
You can't have one without the other

Try, try, try to separate them
    It's an illusion
Try, try, try, and you will only come
    To this conclusion

Tux and Pesca, Tux and Pesca
They go together just like salt and peppa’
Their aunty was told by their mother
    You can't have one
    You can't have none
You can't have one without the other

Marshmallow loves when I sing. She comes running to sit on my lap. I just sing "Marsha!" over and over.

Come to think of it, maybe she just thinks I'm in pain when I sing

Yes, I sing to my cats all the time. I usually just make up silly words to whatever's on the radio or comes to mind .... I know they think I'm nuts

One of my favorites is sung to the tune of Don Ho's "Tiny Bubbles"

    Mitzi noodles, fluffy my babboo

Oh, honey, Grover would not come out of hiding ever again if I sang to her! I want to see her not have to crawl around under the beds looking for her!

I sing: "I wish they all could be calico girls, yeah!" to Eepie - it's like the Beach Boys "California Girls."

My sister sings "Why do Stars suddenly appear when you are near..." to her kitty Little Sam. It's Little Sam's own special song and she purrs when she hears it; she know it's just for her.

ON the other hand, her kitty Oliver HATES the "Naked Mole Rat Rap" from the Kim Possible show. He screams and runs whenever he hears it, especially the line that goes something like, "Ron Stoppable and his best friend, Kim Possible." Julia thought it was the beat to the song he didn't like since it's very techno-pop so she was teasing him and started singing it to him while he was sitting on her lap - and he went wild then too! I guess it's something about the lyrics he just can't stand

I'm not a very good singer myself, but the cats don't seem to mind
But the neighbours on the other hand...

    Guilty!

I see the Tiny Tunes song to Payton, because I call him my Looney Toons.

Payton's tiny, he's tooney, he's VERY VERY looney!
    etc.

For Sammy, I sing the song from Grease, Oh Sandy, but instead it's Oh Sammy.

Dumb I know, but they seem to be pretty embarrased by it so that's all that matters.

The cats don't seem to care one way or the other (although they do love it when I read out loud to them) but the DOGS!! They looooove it when I sing their own special silly songs - especially if I dance along with them They do NOT like it when I do my Gene Kelly "Singing in the Rain" routine however, they get nervous when I do "that thing" with the umbrella
