Does anyone know the dosage for children's (81mg) aspirin for dogs? Thunder hurt his leg, maybe some growing pains, and I can't seem to remember how much to give him.
Thanks!

I am unsure of the dosage, but I sure hope Thunder feels better soon!

I usually give Lucy two(that's what my vet said) and she weighs about seventy pounds maybe a little more It all depends on the weight.
Sorry I don't know the exact dose for a puppy.
But I was wondering do you give them Vit. C?
I give Vitamin World brand chewable Vitamin C 500mg twice a day with their food. It's the only brand of vit C that has sodium ascorbate as the main source, that I can find anyways. Sodium ascorbate is a LOT better than ascorbic acid.
I also give Vitamin E 200mg or 400mg (whichever you can find) once a day. With the C, if the puppy starts going through a major growing period you can up the dosage to 1500mg a day. Puppies need more C than adults because it helps in regulating growth.
It may not help with the growing pains, but since it helps regulating their growth it may help lessen the growing pains, or even make them go away completely.
I heard this from my breeder and did some research on it & have found a lot of good about it in a lot of places (comp., books, vets, nutrition specialists etc..)
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
Hummmm, I'll have to look into that. Thanks!Originally posted by lv4dogs

I just looked it up in two books and both said 5 mg per pound your dog weighs. It can be given 2 times a day.
