I have a young one that I as well am going thru the plant issue as we speak. I put little water on my fingures & flip on my Splenda & it is working so far.. Other than that all my babies went thru this & they grow out of it && now dont know if your plant will last that long..

    Cats & Plants

Splenda is my latest kitten rescue.. Ok do you have litter box for your cat & is it kept clean? Do you have toys for your baby to play with. I would say your cat is looking for a potty box & or is so bored that its finding the plant as play box.. If all else fails your cat may just be a outside cat.. Good Luck

I had this problem with my Sasha when she was younger, and I put foil around the plant pot so that she couldn't get to the dirt. When she realized she could move the foil and still get to the dirt, I had to wrap the foil tighter. She soon learned and/or outgrew it! You just have to be patient.

The idea of water flicking at the cat is great! It worked for my older cat, Tabitha, when she was younger. However, Sasha LOVED it.... and would look at me after a water squirt as if she wanted more! These kitties.... all are different!

    Good luck!

I just remembered that I saw something at Meijer Dept. Store that could be sprayed on plants to keep kitties out of them. Seems like it was called Granny Apple Spray or something like that. Sorry I can't remember for certain. I didn't buy any since my girls are over that phase.
