Yesterday my family and I went to the Kestrel House Summer Fayre - the nursing home where my Dad spent the last 8 months of his life. After he died we bought a sundial to be put in the garden as a memorial and this is what we found yesterday.......The wording reads "in loving memory of Michael Payne 1937 - 2005"

we bought the sundial and the sign and the staff placed it in the garden opposite the room my Dad stayed in. They have said that they will plant flowers around it to match every season

sorry, a question - I've seen "sundial" everywhere but no idea what does it do?

if they are positioned facing the right way the shadow from the sun tells you the time
