    blair-barking!

ok, up until now he was not so bad, he just flipped out barking if someone that was not me, my mom or my brother walked in the house, thats was fine, whatever, introcuce him to the person with treats and he got over it. but for the past couple of days he has started flipping at EVERYTHING, I wear a new shirt and he starts freaking out, I pick up my keys and he freaks out, my mom pickes up the laudry basket and he flips out, i picked up a cheese slicer a he flipped out, well he get the picture, this is not a little bark, this is barking and howling like a maniac for 5 minuts, I mean the breed is supoosed to be scared of everything, but this is ridculous!

I agree with GinaGt. Abnormal barking could present a whole host of medical problems, most commonly, cataracts. A dog with bad eyesight or aging eyes often bark at their people just because their people are wearing odd-colored shirts or hats.

Also wanted to add you can do an impromptu home eye test by taking a non-scented ball and moving it slowly in front of your dog's eyes. They should follow the ball, but you have to remember that dog's use their noses to sense objects as well. Also, you can take your hand and slowly push it towards Blair's eyes. They should close, a natural reflex. If his reactions are slower than normal, vet ASAP.
