Fang (harry potter)

I know this is a silly question, but I'm curious. In the Harry Potter movies what kind of dog plays Fang? They call him a boarhound, but I looked that up and it seems that boarhounds are another name for a great dane. Fang doesn't look like a great dane to me.

I've always wondered what boarhounds were! I never really pictured fang when I read the books, because I didn't know what a boarhound was. Thanks.

And yeah, in the movies he's a Neopolitan Mastiff.

Oh I love Fang! He is so cute! I love the whole Harry Potter Series and I wondered what Fang was.

Now, what breed is Fluffy?

I was happy to see that the dog who played Fang was natural eared and tailed, becuase that is what I prefer in this particular breed. Does anyone know if it was one dog of more? I saw that he/ they wasn't weren't neutered.

I have a neo! I like the neo that played fang he was black, i like the black ones. Fluffy the cerberus in the movie was modeled after a stafordshire bull terrier. Cerberus was said to be the dog of Hades, Lord of the Underworld, in greek ledgend and he guarded the gates at the end of the river Styx. Herculese had to fight Cerberus as one of his tasks.
