    Laser Surgery

Has any of you heard about laser surgery for you pet for spaying & neutering? We had to take our 2 latest rescues in on an immediate appointment since our little Boo went into heat! They now have laser surgery with very little pain or loss of blood. A bit pricey right now, but seems to be worth it. We couldn't believe she went into heat already. It was driving us crazy, along with her unaltered (at the time) brother. They are both altered now and doing extremely well.

Well being feral and not knowing when they were born, the vet was guessing (by the teeth) they were approximately 5 mo. of age. We have 15 cats, and none have ever gone into heat before we had them fixed. We had appointments in March, figuring that was about the right time, but she beat us to it. She looks just like your Casper!

Glad to hear that your cats are keeping their claws Spencer!

I think I'll agree on this quote:

A cat without claws is an invalid!

I've heard of laser neutering - seems it's a lot easier on the animal and they can be neutered at a real young age. Makes it nice for the shelters - the little ones can be neutered before adoption. I'm thrilled about this new process - hopefully it will really help the over population problem.

My local vet offered me laser surgery option
with Sugar the kitty.(Last one to be neutered).
It was slightly more expensive than traditional
surgery methods, but not unreasonable. It did
suprise me though because the kitty vet has it,
but I asked Buddy's (dog) vet if they used laser
and they don't have the equipment yet. It's
supposed to be a lot better for the animals.
