Upset...

I know I shouldn't be so upset... but I am! Today I went in to have my lap... and got sent home due to the fact that I had a cold 3 weeks ago... I was dreading it, but at the same time so happy that something was finally gonna be done (I've been waiting for a year).
I know the hospital staff has my best interest at heart, and as the doctor said: "Better safe than sorry." And boy did I feel sorry... I nearly cried when I was told I have to go back on the waiting list... To top it off, I also have to go in for another pre-op first, as I had mine in April, and by the time I get to go in again, too much time has passed since my pre-op in April... (from the time my doctor arranged for me to go to the pre-op it took 7 months!)...

Oh Sylvie - how frustrating!! I am sorry that you had this letdown and disappointing news after getting ready for the procedure and now knowing you have to do it all again!!

I hope you start feeling better and that your name on the list goes very quickly!!

Thanks you guys!!! I'm just soooooo frustrated! On a positive side... I do get to spend 2 days off with my partner (as he took two days off to "nurse" me)! Plus I got another 2 days off after than! My boss has had a few laps, and she said once she felt great the next day, but the other times she felt pretty bad, so she was very understanding... He-he! Now i'll just lay on the sofa guffling chocolate, and feel pitty for myself! Atleast I have my loose and comfy trousers handy (as I thought I'd need then after the lap), now I can expand with a wonderful chocolate waist!

That is upsetting! You prepare and get yourself all stressed (or should I say in the right frame of mind) and then they don't do it! I hope that you can be rescheduled soon and that everything will be all right.

I'm sorry you had that huge disappointment. I know what you mean. I'll be so glad when mine is over with. To find out at the last minute that it wasn't going to be done would have made me very depressed, also. I hope you can get this straightened out very soon.
