*Help* Computer Question

Oof - I lost my notes and now I can't remember the name of this computer thing I'm supposed to get.

I have an old hard drive and I want to transfer the files from it onto my laptop. My brother told me the name of a piece of equipment, retails for around $20-40, and has a USB at one end and a place to hook up the hard drive at the other. There was some KEYWORD in the name of this part and I lost the piece of paper I took notes on while talking to him and so now I can't go about trying to find one. I know the keyword was an English word that is used in common language too - as are a lot of computer terms.

I hope this is enough to go on....so if anyone knows what I'm talking about, please - help a girl out!

I believe you're looking for an External Hard Drive Enclosure. Just a case where you can plug the hard drive in and then plug the other end into a USB right?
