    Baby Red Eared Sliders

Hey! Guess what I found in Chinatown! Baby turtles! A couple of days ago my dad's friend told us their were baby turtles in Chinatown. Since I recently lost two pet I thought to myself..."Hmmm maybe I can trick my mom into going to Chinatown." I thought out a very good plan that actually worked. We were at the King Tut exhibit in Los Angeles, California so I asked my mom if we could go to Chinatown for lunch. My Dad was in on it too. My Mom agreed and we drove to Chinatown. We ate lunch and I was so excited I could have exploded. We looked around at every little shopping plaza for the turtles. I was losing hope and finally, I looked down into a plaza and found small animal crates. I casually walked up to them and there were the cute baby turtles right in front of me. I asked my Mom if we could get one... or two and she said yes!!! I was so excited and they were so cheap that I couldn't believe it. $11.00 U.S. dollars for 2 turtles and food! My mom was very pleased! Until she saw the bill for Petsmart...
    Here are some pictures!!

The pictures make them look alot bigger than they really are! Gillagan is about four cm. and Beemer is about 4 1/2 cm.!!! They are about a month or two old.

They are adorable! I can believe they are that small. We had a Painted Turtle nest by our driveway one year. We raised the babies for a short period of time before re-relasing them in the pond.

You should take a picture with a coin next to them for size comparison. I plan to do that with my gecko babies.

nope, they're water turtles (tortoises are land turtles).

I love red eared sliders, they're so cute. My husband had 3 of them when we were dating.

I was thinking of what to use for a size comparison and I was not thinking! A coin will work great.

OMG *dies of cuteness overload* I absolutely love, love, love turtles and tortoises, one of my very favorite creatures in the animal kingdom. They are ADORABLE! Their home looks wonderful too! I'd sit and watch them all day and never get any work done if they were here
