As most of you know, last Friday my husband and I adopted two more kittens to bring the total number of animals in our house to 5. This morning, I learned that there will be another addition... sometime in December. I am pregnant! I took three tests, all came back positive. Next thing on my to-do list is call the doctor and go in for my first pre-natal appointment.
I cannot believe it. I was due to get my period in April 20th, but I've had late ones before - as late as 11 days. I was going to wait until this weekend to take a test in case it was just my body being lame, but I couldn't wait any longer. I took a test last night and it came back positive, but one of the lines of the + sign was faint so my husband reserved a full reaction until we know for sure. I took the second test in the pack this morning and got the same result. I couldn't wait another minute so this morning on the way to work, I got one of the new ones that reads "pregnant" or "not pregnant" and took it. And I am.
