    Say Hello to PT, PD.....

Hi everyone! This is P.D.....otherwise known as "Prairie Dog". A friend of my mom's said that she could no longer keep herbecause her husband was very allergic. So she volunteered to accept her into our zoo!! She is really a lot of fun and very affectionate! She loves to cuddle with us and climb to the top of our heads! I have more photos, but these two turned out the best! With a pup and a new PD in the house, it is getting quite hectic around here!

Hi Pet Talk!!! Ain't I the cutest?!?!?

Cuddling with me while I'm sufing the net

What a cutie. We had one when I was 8. How old is she?

Holy Cow. What a bunch of cuteness. Now that is something you just want to squeeze.

I never knew you could keep them as pets, obviously you can. Or is that only in certain places it's allowed.

Whenever I take my kids to the zoo, I can forget about anything else there is to see, I can stand at the prairie dog exhibit forever. Whenever we go I try and sneak them a bit of fresh grass without getting caught. Have been caught once and was given a stern reprimand about the grass, but isn't this funny...when the little kids are throwing them popcorn and chips, with their equally dumb parents watching, the blasted keepers never seem to say anything.

Anyway, PD is a keeper. Just a curious question. Do they actually make good pets?
