Does your dog shed a lot?

I was just vacuuming, and realizing how much fur Blaze sheds...jeez! Mostly during spring, but he does shed quite a bit...what about your dogs??

    Thanks Kay!!

YES! Meeka sheds A TON during the spring and summer, but still a little in the winter. She is starting to shed again now.

They shed a little all year long, but OMG the fur in the spring. Their winter coats are just starting to let loose now. In a few weeks it will look like a lamb exploded in my front yard!!

I actually collect their fur and send it to people who spin it into yarn. I have a great hat made out of my dogs' fur. Corinna sent me an amazing sweater that she made out of English Sheepdog fur.

do they shed? Duh, they're HUSKIES! Star sheds ALL year round, but Sherman blows his coat all at once- it's like watching a dandelion blow away in the wind! Haven't had Cloud long enough to know how he is, but his coat is alot shorter.

Well I only have low shedding Cairns to compare it to, but Oz and Gully sure do seem to shed a lot to me. I put in hard wood floors all through the house and I know my house is cleaner for it, but boy does all the hair become noticable. I'll sweep and mop and have it all looking spic and span and within minutes of finishing, I can already see lil' trails of Collie hair on the floor again.

    Par...

Bijou doesn't shed much at all that I've noticed; however, this may be because I'm not overly observant or it may be due to the fact that she's still a puppy and too busy growing her coat for the first time! We'll see what happens as it gets warmer here, it's only just beginning to hit the 40s and 50s after a winter of frigid temps.

I keep thinking that if Bailey doesn't stop shedding soon, I'll have enough hair to make a new dog.

Peej on the other hand,. doesn't shed.

    I voted twice...

The short-haired girls - "yes, only during certain seasons" - they shed in the spring but it is very fine...enough to fill the vacuum though

Chloe - "sometimes" - she does shed, but not as much as the other girls...her's is more noticable though
