    dachshund back surgery

My 4 year old dachshund had back surgery on Friday, Jany 14th. Her back legs went down on Thursday night and we were able to do the surgery within the 24 hour time period that is critical. To date, she is still not up on her back legs. Doctors say it could be anywhere from 5 days to 2 months before she is up again. Any great advice out there? Did some internet research and in regards to warm water therapy, how long are they to be in the water? Thank you.

I'm sorry. I don't have any advice, but wanted you to know I'm sending good thoughts to you and your doxie. I hope she's up and around very soon.

    Don't rush it

Most Vets will probably tell ya to keep them still and as immobile as they want. When puppy is ready to stand, she'll do so.

Most of the herniated disk repairs for Daushes come out very well.
