    You are absolutely handsome. I love big dogs. My "Duke" is a German Shephard. Grate Danes seem to have an air about them. I just love them. Congrats! on being pet of the day.

    Hillarious! I loved reading about your dog. So descriptive, and so true.
    And I appreciate your Words To The Wise at the end - Many pets are abandoned because their owners didn't realize what was involved in their care.

    My great-grandfather used to raise Great Danes on the roof of the warehouse behind our wallpaper and paint store. I remember riding on their backs, and I remember the huge dog house he built for them. We could crawl around inside there, and there was a divider to keep drafts away, that made it into two rooms. Seems like several of us could fit in there at the same time. The dogs were so gentle. Great fun. Thanks for reviving the memories.

    Holy Jesus, I just read that and am still laughing, I even had to wipe a tear I'm laughing so hard. What an absolute joy dogs can be!! I know when I am down, I just watch my dogs antics for a little while and end up laughing and by the sounds of it, you have more to laugh at than I so I can only imagine how lucky you are. Congratulations Duke.
