wow Pheonix is stunning! Harley is also gorgeous! I wish she liked the camera better.. those pics are so cute, though! I just saw a wolfdog at Petsmart that looked a lot like Pheonix, except she was *very* shy and scared.

How much does that dog weigh? Wolves aren't that big, are they - I mean, they're leaner looking - what kind of mix is Phoenix? And who is the baby pup in the pic with the summer coat??

Evelyn & Kitties: Chelsea, Punkin-Head Jones, Black Magic, SweetPea McGee, Anastasia - and Sascha, the dog

Phoenix weights somewhere around 120 -130lbs. He is HUGE!! He'll stand on his hind legs and his head is above mine (yeah I'm only about 5' 5''.... but stilll.... ) He is SUCH a lover!! He gets VERY excited when people come to play with him. But he's well trained, he'll get all hyper and start jumping on you. But all you have to do is turn your back, and he sits down.. just waiting to get petted!! Once he was so hyper when I turned around, he jumped on my back and took my pony tail in his mouth and started tugging on it!! My friend and I were laughing so hard!! If anyone had been watching, they would have though this wolfdog was attacking me!! But he was just playing!!
He is 75-80% wolf and the other % is Malamute.

The puppy in the one picture is Ronan, she was going to keep him, but realized she did not have the time he needed to train him, he is almost pure wolf.

the summer and winter coats are very different. Keona is now starting to get her winter coat... and as wolfdog owners will tell you, when they molt...............in the spring.......OMG! its a mess....the higher contents walk around with globs hanging down from thier bodies.. LOL!!!

    winter/early spring:

    summer/early fall:

notice the length in the facial hair...........
