Brussels sprouts, or no Brussels sprouts?

This is a Thanksgiving question. My mom and my sister both like Brussels sprouts. I don't like them because to me, they have a strong cabbage flavor. My mom boils the heck out of them, but my sister has a recipe for roasted autumn vegetables that includes Brussels sprouts. I just don't like them, but I think I'm likely to get voted down since the rest of my family does like them.

I am now allergic to them - anything related to cabbage, actually, but I used to love them! It's like having the whole cabbage in your mouth in one bite! I loved the texture and the taste. Now I have to admire them from afar.

    Again with a food question

Would you rather have sweet potato(yam) or white potato?

Backing up to sprouts. Yes, I just don't cook them too often since no one else likes them, but they will eat cabbage. Go figure ! I love coleslaw and corned beef and cabbage. Can't imagine corned beef without cabbage.

    Sweet potatoes over white.

Let's get out of the food rut. You have a ton of money and want to build a new getaway home. Do you build it in the mountains, or on an oceanfront property?

    Mountains...less risk of flooding.

Would you rather watch a live play or a live concert?

Live Concert - with live plays I find myself wishing to be onstage instead of focusing on the performers, frankly!

Fur - do you prefer short (wash and wear type) or long (lovely to brush) fur for your pets?

Fur - long and lovely, of course. I can always get it cut if it gets too ratty looking. It will grow back. Right Sparky?????

Hair on you - long or short or somewhere in between?

In between. I wish my hair looked more like Ina Garten's. Mine is not that straight. My stylist can get it in line with a high power blow dryer, a large flat brush and a lot of straightening cream. This is about how long my bangs are now, too. I have a haircut appointment a week from Saturday.

It's a bright, sunny day and you're going to be spending time outdoors. Do you wear sunglasses or slap on a hat?

And for hair, longer is better for me - more weight to hold it down. Right now it is shoulder length - and a bit too short, so I need to weigh it down with spackle so it does not go poof!

Definitely a hat - sunglasses do not shield my nose, which burns faster than any other part of me! Plus, I do not currently have prescription sunglasses that are up-to-date!

I never am not wearing socks once I put them on! So it would have to be socks!

Another appendage - mittens or gloves?

Haggis vs headcheese - neither; Reese's or Hershey bar- why is this an "or"? As long as they're Halloween treat size, one of each

But back to the question, for the next player: Reese's peanut butter cup or Hershey bar?

    Peanut butter cup for me.

Next question: Electric blanket or down comforter/blanket.

Oh, dear - a comforter as long as it is not actually down - the feather gather dust mites very effectively, so I wake up wheezing every time! My folks stop ever using an electric blanket when our Grat Dane, Grace, thought any lumps in the blanket might be that "monster" (dad's hand under the covers) that would sneak up on her, so became "the 100-pound moth," and chewed holes in the blanket!

    Next Question:

    Mulled Cider or Hot Cocoa?
