i said YES but really it'd be neutered since i have a male dog.
i've heard males "bounce back" faster than females so all i really did was lots of TLC. i bet that's all belle needs, too.
i'm assuming she just had this done --- give her a couple days to recouperate.
    good luck.

    In 2 to 3 days

you'll be worrying about how to keep her calm for a week to 10 days as the Vet suggested.

Males may recover 24 hrs sooner than females. But after 2 to 3 days both sexes have to be hog tied to keep them from over doing it.

The recuperative properties of dogs are remarkable. Us humans would be moaning and groaning for weeks on end.

She just needs to rest. They usually are woozy after the surgery and most of the time won't eat much, if any. I do rescue so I go through the spay recouping quite often and most of the time the females will vomit later in the day after coming out of surgery, so be prepaired for that. It's because of the anistesia(sp), but she'll be ok once it wears off. Congradulations, you and Belle are now official members of the Spayed Club.

    MY PUP WAS SPAYED

CHICA WAS SPAYED IN OCTOBER OF THIS YEAR. SHE WAS 6 MONTHS OLD. THE FIRST NIGHT SHE WANTED TO EAT AND DRINK SOME WATER. AND THEN SHE RESTED THE REST OF THE NIGHT. THE NEXT DAY SHE WAS RUNNING AND PLAYING ALL OVER THE HOUSE. SHE DIDN'T SEEM TO BE IN ANY PAIN! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT, SHE ACTED HERSELF SO SOON. SHE HEALED GREAT TO!

JUST SEE WHAT YOUR PET WANTS THE FIRST DAY.
