Attention: anyone in the Washington DC area... 10 a.m. today at the National Zoo the Annual PUMPKIN STOMP Dozens and dozens of punkins are brought into the elephant enclosure and the dear old "hefalumps" go NUTZ stomping and eating the orange treats. It's really phun! A silly thread, I realize but what the hey

Are you skipping work and going?? That would be great to see. Nothing like that ever happens around here....but then again, BC doesn't have eleephunts....
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

I had forgotten about it but hefalumps weren't the only ones to get punkin treats. Go-Rillas and 'rangatangs got some too. Their games get quite a bit messier with all the punkin throwing going on but they really do enjoy it. Laughing Go-rillas get everybody laughing hysterically! They bop each other over the heads with punkin' guts and just get plum silly

I'm trying KKKaren. I was able to send Slick and Logan a link to the Zoo home page where they had some pictures from last year's "Stomp". I'm trying to get some newer ones

Karen, I went down to the zoo last year when they first let the little guy outside. I simply couldn't get enough! He would hide behind his momma's leg and peek out just like Dumbo. In fact I had to go rent Dumbo that every evening I came home and posted here at PetTalk "We have a new baby elephant". Then I had to continue the thread by saying "... well, not me personnally but...." I did get some funny feedback from that thread
